Review
"The Logic of American Politics is an ideal text for students new to the processes of the American government to learn about how the institutions of government and how the political system work. It is the best textbook on American government and political process on the market!" -- Jason Fichtner "The Logic of American Politics is fantastic. In addition to covering American government thoroughly, it is unabashedly a political science textbook that gives students insight into the discipline and what it does. It doesn't seek to tell students what to believe, instead giving them the tools to be educated citizens and consumers of political information." -- Carl Snook "I like The Logic of American Politics' focus on politics as solutions to collective action problems. The analytical framework is very effectively developed and integrated throughout. My students are often surprised to find that all of those concepts I introduce at the start of the semester hold relevance to such a wide range of political phenomena." -- Jeremy Buchman "I chose The Logic of American Politics because it's accessible and interesting. It provides a good base for students to gain core knowledge and then dig deeper into specific elements of U.S. politics." -- Mark Shanahan

The book was in almost like new shape just as stated
By vicky foster
I bought this textbook to study up on the workings of politics especially in this current state of affairs. The book was in almost like new shape just as stated. I appreciated that. This book is very detailed as it should be for college level and I am having a great time reviewing my old college days. A lot has changed for this 64 year granny since my college days!

Good Solid Easy-to-Read American Government Textbook. NOT BORING.
By J. R. Berry
It's a good, clear, easy-to-read textbook with lots of color graphs and charts. It's well organized and is a good introduction to American government structures and politics. The only complaint is that while the glossary is pretty good, there are words that were not defined such as "incumbent" that while it should be common knowledge, it would help to have a callout definition in the sidebar or something.
Also, the paper stock is a little thin, so for older eyes, it's harder to focus on the words in dim light because some of what's on the next page is visible. Fix those two things, and you'll have a great textbook. Of course, there are a lot of assumptions that held up for 250 years that will need some serious editing thanks to the 2016 election.

This book is not clear or concise. It doesn't really give the overall picture and instead rambles on and on and on.
It takes forever to read and could have been shortened. Some of the sentences feel more like paragraphs.
I can't wait till this government class I'm taking is over, mainly due to this book.
