La primera parte se compone de un texto del reverendo Jean-Baptiste Saint-Jure (1588-1657), extra�do, casi textualmente, de su gran obra "Del conocimiento y del amor del Hijo de Dios, nuestro Se�or Jesucristo", que hizo las delicias y fue como el manual de asc�tica del santo Cura de Ars. Una obra de corte netamente ignaciano que nos ayuda a mejorar el conocimiento de la maravillosa acci�n del amor de Dios sobre todas sus criaturas.
�Mantenerse constante e �ntimamente unido a Dios y a su santa voluntad, esa deber�a ser la ciencia y la felicidad de todas las gentes�.
La segunda parte del libro est� escrita por san Claudio de la Colombi�re (1641-1682), el que fuera director espiritual de santa Margarita Mar�a Alacoque y por tanto un ardiente devoto del Sagrado Coraz�n de Jes�s.
